Idaho’s 66th Legislative Session convened today.
After a successful 2-yr term in the House, I am looking forward to serving in the Idaho Senate. My three committee assignments are (1) Agriculture Affairs; (2) Local Government and Taxation; and (3) Judiciary and Rules (vice-chairman).
I will continue to fight for legislation to help east Idaho’s Economy; Reduce taxes (especially property taxes); and affect Prison Reform. Education and school safety are also priorities.
The Senate Majority Leadership has welcomed me with open arms and I am fortunate to become a vice-chairman in my freshman debut. With all the issues needing to be addressed, this session should prove to be quite a rodeo ride – and we are starting with the emergency powers delegated to the Governor.
